Mold springs are widely used mechanical components in molds. They are typically not used independently but serve as auxiliary power for moving components such as ejector plates or core pins.
The categories of mold springs can be distinguished by their appearance, as they are made in various colors.
There are many different colors for common mold springs, and each color represents the load size and the compression amount of the spring elasticity.
- Purple (60% high compression amount – light load)
- Yellow (50% compression amount – light load)
- Blue (40% compression amount – light to medium load)
- Red (32% medium-low compression amount – medium load)
- Green (24% compression amount – high load)
- Brown (20% low compression amount – heavy load)
- Light Green (60% extra-large compression amount – light load)
- Light Blue (60% compression amount – light load)
- Ivory (50% compression amount – light load)
- Orange (40% medium compression amount – light to medium load)
- Black (20% low compression amount – heavy load)
The larger the compression amount, the smaller the load on the mold spring, and vice versa.
