What Are Miter Gears?

Miter gears are a special type of bevel gear with a 1:1 ratio, identical size and tooth count on both mating gears. They are used to transmit motion at a 90-degree angle between shafts. Unlike bevel gears which can have various ratios, miter gears always pair identical gears.
