Precision Pinion Shafts – Inch & Metric | One-Piece Integrated Gear & Shaft
GUNRI manufactures precision pinion shafts with integrated gear and shaft machined from a single blank. One-piece design delivers higher torque capacity and superior concentricity. Materials: stainless steel, alloy steel. Custom diameters, pitches, and tooth counts.
Description
What Are Pinion Shafts?
A pinion shaft is a shaft onto which a pinion gear has been directly machined as a single integrated component. This one-piece design eliminates the need for keyways, set screws, or other fastening methods, providing superior torque transmission, concentricity, and reliability compared to separate gear-plus-shaft assemblies.
Advantages of One-Piece Pinion Shafts
• Higher Torque Capacity — No keyway stress risers or slippage concerns
• Superior Concentricity — Gear and shaft are machined in one setup for perfect alignment
• Compact Design — Eliminates the space needed for hubs or fasteners
• Greater Reliability — No loose gears or fastener failures in high-vibration applications
• Customizable — Any combination of gear teeth, shaft diameter, length, and shoulder geometry
