The bushing body is manufactured from a high-strength bronze alloy with evenly distributed graphite plugs embedded in the bearing surface. During operation, the graphite acts as a solid lubricant and forms a thin lubricating film between the shaft and the bearing.
Because lubrication is integrated into the material structure, this type of graphite bronze bushing functions as a self lubricating bronze bushing and can operate as an oilless bronze bearing in many industrial environments.
Straight graphite plugged bronze bearings are commonly used in construction machinery, steel processing equipment, injection molding machines, and hydraulic systems where reliable sliding performance and reduced maintenance are required.
